| 29th Annual Tournament August 9 |
|
|
The Free Throwers' Boomerang Society, founded in 1980 by Chet Snouffer, held it's 29th Annual Boomerang Tournament August 9, 2008 in Delaware, OH! This is the LONGEST RUNNING TOURNAMENT IN THE WORLD!
Held this year just one week prior to the World Championships in Seattle, WA the tournemant was won by 19 year old LOGAN BROADBENT, son of world-reknowned Gary Broadbent from Canton, OH. Logan edged long-time US Team member John Flynn and Chet Snouffer who finished 2nd and 3rd. Flynn had the tournament wrapped up until the last event, endurance, and the fickle Ohio winds wreaked havoc with his boomerang flights, allowing Logan to leap frog into 1st.
NEXT YEAR, the Free Throwers puts in it's bid to host the US NATIONALS a record 5th time to commemorate the unprecedented 30th annual event!! Plan to be here!!
