The use of the Accuracy Chart can be a great help to training for Accuracy or Australian Round.

1. Print copies of the chart and then take them to the practice field with you.

2. After warming up, decide that now will be your round in competition.

3. Make your first throw and mark on the chart where it lands (Accuracy) or where you catch it (Aussie Round). Mark the accuracy score in the column under 1st throw and then make any notes regarding wind: "gusty, calm, steady", etc. Based on where the boom returned and where you want it to go on the next throw, what correction should you make? Note this: "more right, more left, more power, easy, higher, lower", etc

4. Make your second throw and repeat as above. Each time try to note what you should do to move closer to (or to stay in!) the bullseye.

5. When you finish, add your score and look for trends. Do you land short consistently? Do you land to the right? Always blow over? Note your tendencies and then begin another round and work to correct or even over-correct your trends. The single most effective means of improving your game is to work over-correction and find the two extremes. Then, you can find the middle. Otherwise, we tend to make small corrections and never get where we want. In the worst case scenario, it should take you three throws to find the bullseye. If the first throw is too left, try to find too right on the second throw. Then, split the difference and hit the bullseye on the third.
